I have to say, now that I look at the video and think about it, I wonder if it’s not better just to show the end result; I feel like a little a bit of the magic has vanished (if there was any).

Paris, Janvier 2010, à l’inter-saison

Paris et moi… c’est une longue histoire d’amour, entrecoupée de silences…Ma vie y est plus tranquille: j’y suis un touriste comme un autre… J’arpente les rues et j’observe… J’aime attendre la fin du jour depuis les quais… ou contempler les courbures des platanes bordant les bâtiments parisiens en vieille pierre… Je m’imprègne de leur art de vie, je le lie au nôtre… C’est très agréable de se laisser bercer par la poésie de villes étrangères ; Ça nourri infiniment… Je pense que c’est parce que l’art est essentiel… En fait je suis très sensible aux détails. À l’esthétique. Dans mon métier comme dans la vie, il faut voir les choses comme des œuvres d’art en création perpétuelle… Et il faut chercher à perfectionner chaque détail pour atteindre une harmonie efficace. Une beauté.

J’ai un rituel : à chaque séjour à Paris je passe une soirée avec des amis parisiens à moi : des créateurs… Nous voyons les choses de la même façon. Peut-être parce que la beauté est universelle..

Red lyden uncovers the mind of a troubled boyfriend who sinks into his memories of his recently disappeared girlfriend in his New York midtown apartment. The film takes on an eerie atmosphere reminiscent of David Lynch’s 80’s TWIN PEAK series as we notice a man silhouette staring outside of his window apartment. The colors of faded red and blue set a tone of nostalgia and lust murder; the silence creeps under your screen.

“Un ange à la maison” is a short film inspired by Wim Wender’s “Ailes du desir” (Sky over Berlin) and especially the scene of the two angels – Damiel et Cassiel – at the library. An angel decides to entertain his dull morning routine with a séance of camouflage as he changes appearances in his basement flat while performing his morning chores.
